Robert Behets

Geologist with over 30 years’ experience in the international mining industry. He held an executive position at Western Metals Corporation (later BHP) and was later MD of Mantra Resources and Papillon Resources. He is currently Director of several international listed mining companies. He contributes with a strong combination of technical, commercial and managing capacities and broad experience on exploration, resource and reserves estimation, feasibility studies and mining on a vast range of metals. Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), he is member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and was member of the Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee (“JORC”).

He has participated on the construction, commissioning and production of 4 mines of reference in Spain, 2 in South America and 2 in Mauritania; being on executive positions for Toronto, New York or Madrid listed companies such as Rio Narcea Gold Mines, Lundin Mining, ENDESA or Duro Felguera.

Dylan Browne

Mr Browne is a Chartered Accountant and Associate Member of the Governance Institute of Australia (Chartered Secretary) who is currently Company Secretary for a number of ASX and European listed companies that operate in the resources sector. He commenced his career at a large international accounting firm and has since been involved with a number of exploration and development companies operating in the resources sector, based from London and Perth, including Apollo Minerals Limited, Prairie Mining Limited and Papillon Resources Limited. Mr Browne successfully listed Prairie on the Main Board of the London Stock Exchange and the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2015 and recently oversaw Berkeley’s listings on the Main Board LSE and the Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia Stock Exchanges. Mr Browne was appointed Company Secretary of the Company on 29 October 2015.

Mr Middlemas is a Chartered Accountant and has been in commerce for over twenty five years.  He was previously Chairman of Mantra Resources Limited, an African-focussed uranium exploration and development company, and is also a director of a number of other publicly listed companies. He has considerable corporate, financial and management expertise and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mr Behets was instrumental in the founding, growth and development of Mantra, an African-focused uranium company, through to its acquisition by ARMZ for approximately A$1 billion in 2011. Prior to Mantra, he held various senior management positions during a long career with WMC Resources Limited.

Adam Parker

Non-Executive Director

Mr Adam Parker has been appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, effective 14 June 2017.

Mr Parker joins the Company after a long and successful career in institutional fund management in the City of London spanning almost three decades, including being a co-founder of Majedie Asset Management, which today manages assets of approximately £14 billion. He began his career in 1987 at Mercury Asset Management (subsequently acquired by Merrill Lynch and now part of BlackRock) and left in 2002 when he co-founded Majedie and was instrumental in building it into the successful investment boutique that it is today.

Mr Parker holds a M.A. Hons in Chemistry from Oxford University and is an Associate of the CFA Society United Kingdom.

Rafael Miranda

Rafael Miranda is a Spanish businessman and former Chief Executive Officer of Endesa SA, one of Spain’s largest electric companies and nuclear power plant operators. He is credited for expanding Endesa’s footprint into Latin America and positioning the company as an industry leader after Spain’s liberalisation of the electric market. More recently, he was Chairman of ACERINOX, the Spanish giant steel manufacturing conglomerate and remains a member of the Board of Directors of Brookfield Asset Management, one of the world’s largest investment funds, as well as a Board Member of other Spanish companies and Institutions. He is also Honorary Chairman of Eurelectric, the European Electricity Association, and of APD (Spanish Management Association).

Jaime García-Legaz

Jaime García-Legaz is a Spanish economist, businessman, executive and academic. He is an experienced Executive Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Company Director with a 28-year career in finance, airport management, IT, insurance, retail and Government. He is a former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at AENA, an IBEX 35 (Spanish stock exchange index) company that manages airports in Spain and Europe. AENA is 51% Spanish State owned. He was Secretary of Commerce and Trade in the Government of Spain from 2011 to 2016 and represented Spain on the EU Council of Trade Ministers and the G20 Council of Ministers.

Miguel Riaño

Miguel Riaño is the Managing Partner of Herbert Smith Freehills in Spain, specialising in energy, infrastructure, natural resources, environment and public law matters. He is a highly respected business leader in Spain with more than 20 years’ experience advising major corporations, global investment banks, equity sponsors and public entities in domestic and cross-border transactions.
